MS-Paint Collection 2 [view] |

Another batch of MS-Paint goodness, most of which was drawn while watching Bonus Stage.
MS-Paint Collection 1 [view] |

MS-Paint is pretty much the worst drawing program ever, what with its complete lack of useful features and its insistence that anti-aliasing never happened. Still, I love opening it up and drawing some pixel goodness, so here are some recent pictures I've done with it.
Assorted Graffiti [view] |

This is a small collection of some of the better pictures I've drawn using Facebook's excellent Graffiti application. I generally hate all the useless apps on the site, but this one is pretty good so check it out if you haven't already. |

Steve and Jimmy [view] |

I drew this image in exactly the same conditions I drew the original Steve comics - while sitting in a boring uni lecture. After drawing it I scanned it in, coloured it in Photoshop, and put in a background from Steve 3 (which has been stylised a bit). I hope you like it! |

Hair! [view] |

Having seen several amazing pictures online where the artists have drawn very realistic hair using Photoshop, I decided to read some tutorials and give it a go myself - this is my first attempt! As a side note, the character is just a trace/re-colour in Flash of Yagami Light (from Death Note) so I take no credit for the basic image itself. |

Doodle boxes [view] |

Some crazy random page of doodles I drew on a particularly boring evening. I have no idea what it's about or why I've clearly (and awfully) attempted to draw Joel and Phil from Bonus Stage/Tycho from Penny Arcade, but whatever, there's probably something you'll like here. |

My garden [view] |

I drew this sketch in a card I sent my dad for his birthday. He's a keen gardener, so I figured he'd probably appreciate a nice little doodle of the garden back home. That was hilariously cheesy. |

Garden (colour) [view] |

The same as below, only it now has colour! As with the soldier picture, I used Photoshop to colour it all in, and this time I've even attempted to *gasp* use gradients and shading! It's not perfect, but hey, it's all one big learning process! |

Garden [view] |

This is a picture I drew based on a photo of the garden in Shoren-In, in old Kyoto. It was drawn as part of the second page of Tokyo Sunrise's first issue, but seeing as I still have no idea if I'm going to continue that series I decided I'd upload it separately. I think it turned out nicely, although I would have liked to have done more with the building on the right. Still, it looks pretty cool. |

No idea what this one is about, I guess I just had a bunch of felt-tip pens and felt like using them. It was a bit of a mission getting this looking vaguely ok in Photoshop - the scanner I'm using manages to cut the borders off most A4 pictures, and this was drawn on A3. Bah! |

This was my first attempt at colouring something using Photoshop - I think it ended up pretty well, although I didn't even attempt to add shading/shadows. I should probably use Photoshop more often for colouring, everything just looks so much neater than when I bust out the old coloured pencils/felt-tip pens.
Soldier (b&w) [view] |

Clearly inspired by one of Tim Buckley's pictures, I drew this Gears of War-esque image in about half an hour, figured it looked pretty cool, and uploaded it. There isn't much else to say about this, except that the gun is supposed to be a pulse rifle from the Aliens series - not quite sure why this guy has one, but whatever! |

This is one of my most accomplished drawings to date. I'd love to continue this comic, but unfortunately I'm not a particularly good artist and this kinda thing takes me days to draw, not hours. However, I've got a few plans to turn this into a cartoon series (see the trailer in the Cartoons section) so this isn't the last you'll be seeing of Tokyo Sunrise.. |

This is just a collection of a few face sketches I've done over the last few months. There's nothing particularly spectacular here, but I thought you might be interested to see the kinda stuff I doodle when I get bored.
