| All about Tom Wright | ||||||
Hello children. Are you all sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin... My name is Tom Wright, and I love making stuff. I don't mean like doing DIY around the house or pretending I can cook (unless fish fingers and chips counts as cooking), I mean stuff like comics, cartoons, and films. Let's face it - without pretty pictures, TV and the cinema, you'd probably just curl into a ball and die. Or read a book and still enjoy yourself, whatever. |

'So what have you done about this desire to make stuff?', I hear you cry (possibly). Well, I've written some things, I've drawn and animated some things, I've even started a dodgy kung-fu film series. In fact, I think the earliest stuff I 'produced' was back when I was only 7 years old, having been taught the basics of the wonderful Deluxe Paint Animation by my two brothers. I now use Flash like everyone else, but DPA will always hold a special place in my heart. As for movies, I simply love every aspect of them, whether that be editing, filming, directing or being in them. | |||||
| If you want to see any of this stuff, simply use the links above. However, keep in mind that everything on this site is strictly 'Questionable Films' - I made stuff before I started using that production name, but it's of such a low quality it's not worth watching. In case you were wondering, there is no great story behind that name - it was used for the first time in the Matrix spoof we did in 2002, and it's stuck ever since. | ![]() |

I guess I only really have two things left to say. Firstly, Questionable Films is not a real production company, it's basically, well, me. I don't believe amateur films or animations need huge budgets, grand set-designs or fancy costumes to be entertaining. It's all about the writing and the direction - if you think you can make something really funny, engrossing or entertaining, just go out and make it! It doesn't matter how little money you have to do it or even if your audience will be tiny, if you have a passion for making anything then just go out there and get it done. I really can't emphasise this enough - you see so many Hollywood movies today with astronomically high budgets and A-list celebrities, and yet so many of them turn out to be horrendously awful. As for animation, have you seen half the crap that gets put on TV these days? Your budget has nothing to do with making something good. If you have a real desire to make stuff, then that's a good enough reason to do so. |

Oh yeah, the second thing that I had left to say - I really hope you enjoy the site, and all the Questionable Films content myself and others have made since 2002. Whether I know you from home, university, Westbrook, or some random site on the Internet, you're all welcome! -Tom Wright (tom@questionablefilms.com) |
